Are reservations necessary? Reservations are not mandatory, however many weekends are booked solid. It is good to have a reservation because it is $2.00 cheaper and you will not be left empty handed if we run out of equipment. |

What about rain? Many people go rain or shine. Believe it or not, there's a real beauty to the river with the rain drops bouncing on the surface and the fog or mist hanging in the river valley. Also, wildlife sightings are more plentiful. |
Can I picnic along the river? By all means! The river is a National Recreation Area. There are beautiful islands, as well as shoreline spots, with sandy beaches great for a picnic. Also, some toilet facilities are available along the way. We provide trash bags and require that all of your trash be carried with you to the finish. PLEASE DON'T LITTER! |

If you appear intoxicated, you are subject to arrest and removal from the river by the National Park Rangers. |
